The drawings above show some of the functions of a vehicle service robot. A vehicle service robot could lift a suitcase, and put it inside a car, it could also remove the segments of a convertible top, and replace them, or it could lift a bicycle and place the bike in a roof-mounted bike rack. Another function of a vehicle service robot is to install flight components of a flying car. A flying car may be built with rotor units that can be attached, or removed by a robot. These rotor units would make it possible for the car to fly like helicopter. The drawing below shows a car with rotor units attached.
The illustration above shows a car with four rotors attached. The rotors are used when the car is in flight mode. In flight mode, the car can fly like a helicopter. A vehicle service robot that is built into the car would be used to install the four rotors, when you want to make the transition from road mode to flight mode. When you want to make the transition from flight mode to road mode, the robot would be used to remove the rotors.
